In pursuit of their dreams, students put their heart and soul into preparing for competitive exams like the GATE exam. However, recent incidents have exposed the harsh reality faced by students at the GATE 2024 examination centres, where technical glitches have turned their aspirations into nightmares.
Reddy Sir's heartfelt plead
Subbarao Lingamgunta, fondly known as Reddy Sir among his students, has bravely given voice to the plight of many of his students who had to face an extremely disturbing experience during the GATE exam. After a year of intense preparation, the students' hopes were shattered as technical failures of the mouse and computer screen wasted more than half an hour of their exam duration.
This upsetting event shows that there are big problems in exam centres. Many students have faced similar problems, and their dreams have been shattered because those in charge didn't care enough about making exams fair and smooth.
Reddy Sir shared a video on YouTube where he showed messages from his students who faced this tragedy. One of his students said, "I feel like dying".
Reddy Sir's strong plea for fairness shows how distressed students are because the system that was supposed to help them has let them down. This shows that our education system has big problems of not doing things well and not caring enough. This is sad because it means that the dreams of smart students are being ignored.
An urgent call to action
As students, teachers, and people who care, we support Reddy Sir and his students in their fight for fairness and honesty. Showing screenshots of the students' messages makes it clear how serious their situation is and shows that we need the authorities to act fast.
The people in charge of the exams need to listen to the students and fix the problems with the exam centres right away. If they don't, they're letting down many hopeful students who trust them.
